OVERVIEW
The One About Social Psychology is designed for an introductory course to social psychology and is the first social psychology textbook created specifically for team-based learning. This digital textbook takes a “less is more” approach by focusing on a selective set of social psychology concepts that are particularly relevant to students’ basic understanding of the subject matter. The learning objectives that guide this textbook and activities range from basic demonstration of knowledge to higher-level objectives with a prominent emphasis on application. Specifically, many of the activities focus on having students work in teams to complete complex tasks by applying social psychology concepts to everyday scenarios.

The One About Social Psychology includes several unique features. Every chapter begins with multiple poll questions designed to get the students engaged with the chapter’s material before they begin reading. Students follow the interactions between a group of college friends throughout the textbook. These interactions introduce the topic of the section in a manner that illustrates how social psychological concepts can manifest themselves in the real world. Additionally, there are engaging discussion questions throughout the textbook and a comprehensive instructor manual that includes several application activities available for team-based learning activities or individual homework within each chapter.
